We needed a Yo Yo that could take an eight year old from beginning to mid level practice without breaking and this model worked very well. We had read reviewers on Amazon and how they preferred Yomega's model over the Duncan brand and we now understand why. The Yomega Brain model is a very good model for serious beginners. She likes that she can grab on the wooden balls easily and that it also nice to mouth. As the toy is flexible, it adds extra ease to work it. The best clutching toy for a 4 months old baby. Among Haba wooden toys, I can also strongly recommend the Triangle (the 2nd favorite clutching toy of baby).

Visually Appealing, Fosters Curiosity and Imagination
I bought this for my six month old son. The balls are just the right size for him to pick up in his little hands, which help to build his clutching and grasping motor skills. He will crawl/worm his way to the toy, pick it up, and roll onto his back holding it to study it. The colors are bright and appealing, and the toy itself seems well made. The balls move about on the cord, so they aren't fixed into one particular shape. I think this adds interest for the baby, since he is able to manipulate the shape a bit. If you're looking for bells and whistles, this isn't the toy for you; however, if you're looking for a toy to cultivate your baby's imagination, this is a good one with which to start. I would give it 5 stars overall, but I found a cheaper version of this toy (with more balls) made by a different company shortly after I purchased this one.

My 11 year old loved it.
After having gone through several yoyos, he was excited to play with this one. I really don't know much about the different yoyos, but if my 11 year old loved it, and my 2 year old couldn't break it (I can't tell you how many times it was banged, tossed, knocked on, etc.), it gets two thumbs up in my book!

Great for beginners
I am a yoyo novice. I need something reliable to learn string tricks without having to worry about my ability to sleep and return. This is perfect. I know when it's going to return and plan accordingly. Down the line when I'm ready, I'll set it to manual return and perfect my tricks. It has good balance and the spin is great. Better than any yoyo I've ever held, but that's not saying more than your average Duncan Butterfly. It feels heavy in my hand and I like that alot. This yoyo definetly deserved a better review. All in all, I feel this yoyo will help me through 2 stages of developement. That's a great deal.

Great But....
I think this yo-yo is great to play with but it is annoying to have to oil it after every 2hrs of play.I also like it that it has a switch so you can turn the switch on or off to do different tricks.
